Best of Bespoke: Kathryn Sargent

As a girl, Kathryn Sargent developed an obsessive interest for tailoring, fueled by her father’s stylish and clean cut wardrobe. Taken on as an apprentice, she learned her craft in the best environment in the world. For 15 years she worked at Gieves and Hawkes at No1 Saville Row, where she became Head Cutter, the first woman ever to hold the position.

Now running her own bespoke tailoring business, Kathryn begins with a consultation where she gains an overall idea about the client, understanding specific requirements she advises on style, fit and fabric . With a choice of hundreds of quality British made cloths, each piece will be one of a kind. Kathryn creates styles for both men and women, with painstaking attention to detail. All of Kathryn’s garments adhere to the technical standards laid down by Saville Row Bespoke, making her one of the most highly regarded female tailors in London.
